Dear Chairperson/Convenor
The 33rd Space TV Ddave Short IPT, will be held in Pietermaritzburg over the weekend of the 2nd – 4th September 2022. The MSU is very excited to have SpaceTV come on as our primary sponsor of the event, thanks to Clint Voigt for his generosity and all that he does for squash!
The tournament format will remain the same as in previous years with each player enjoying 3 singles matches over the weekend, ie 2 on Saturday and one on Sunday morning.
In the past we have found that not everyone can make all the functions due to travel etc. So the entry fee is going to be structured as follows:-
The all-inclusive entry fee is R600.00 per player which includes participation in all the functions, 3 games of squash and a freebie still to be decided. Players unable to make either the Friday and / or the Sunday function, can now reduce the cost of their entry accordingly. Guests for functions are welcome and can be paid for separately.
Please kindly note that a decision has been taken to restrict entries to the first 200 players that enter due to limited space for the functions at Collegians Club.
Please enter teams in order of strength on the attached entry form. Five players per team and please indicate the team captain. Please include all players’ cell phone numbers. Should you require any additional teams please advise us accordingly and we will endeavor to accommodate them.
Attached are the team results from 2019. Please indicate which section you would like to play in.
ACCOMMODATION:
The Stay Easy Hotel who has offered us a special accommodation rate of R1250.00 per room per night (including breakfast) for the duration of the tournament. The rooms accommodate 2 people sharing (shower en suite) and are available in either double or twin beds. The hotel is situated on the Liberty Midlands Mall premises, with easy access to the various squash courts and about 3km's on the freeway from Collegians Club, where the functions are being held.

- Friday night supper R70.00
- Sunday lunch R100.00
