Message from Midlands Chairperson
On behalf of Midlands Squash Union, we wish to extend to everyone a very warm welcome to the 57th Jarvis-Kaplan Tournament.
We are privileged to have the following International players visiting South Africa and the beautiful Natal Midlands -
Omar Addel Meguieb, Piedro Schweertman, Josh Taylor, Jasmin Ballmann, Karim Gawad, Aisling Blake & Sarah-Jane Perry - and we hope they enjoy their visit to our sunny shores.
It is also wonderful to welcome back our South African players who are currently participating in the world tour.
It is a great honor for Midlands Squash to host a tournament of this magnitude which is the major highlight on the South African squash calendar.
We have put together an event that we hope you will all enjoy and will be as memorable as previous years, where you will, in addition to having good squash, have great fun at the functions, and over a few drinks will renew old acquaintances and make lots of new friends.
We hope that at all times good sportsmanship, camaraderie and fellowship will prevail both on and off the court.
I would like to thank the various clubs for the use of their courts and facilities, and the court stewards/convenors for their assistance.
I would also like to extend a great thank you to all the generous sponsors - Talbot & Talbot who are the prize sponsor, and all the companies and individuals who have donated goods for the goodie bags.
I am also most grateful to Rennisha and the committee who have all worked tirelessly to ensure that this tournament runs smoothly.
Yours in Squash
