Gill Weedon 2010 Spring League You are invited to enter our annual Spring League social tournament. This tournament is open to every one and caters for players of all standards. Jesters National U23 Series Please see the attached flyer for these tournament series. Jarvis Update Congratulations to our girls for winning the B Section of Kaplan Cup – an excellent effort. The guys did not fare as well but put up a very commendable performance. Many thanks to Sally White and Des Royappen for all their time and effort and dedication in getting our teams into fighting shape. Special mention must be made of Bugsy who managed the team with deft aplomb and really motivated them with his enthusiasm and boundless drive. He also has great administrative skills and through his fine efforts Midlands were awarded the Trophy for the Best Organized Province WELL DONE TEAM – WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!! Golf Club Inter-Club Doubles Tournament 2010 Congratulations to Maxine, Rory, Maeva, Kathy, Rob, Sameer and Aubrey for a very enjoyable tournament last Saturday held at Collegians Club. Photos from this tournament have been posted here. Maritzburg Golf Club hosted the finals on Thursday evening. In the men’s B final Eric Bothma (1) managed to outrun Brian Bode (2), winning 3-2 after being 2 nil down and facing match point 3 times in the 3rd game. An amazing fight back! Well done Eric! In the women’s A final between Tarryn Harborth (1) and Maxine Windelberg (3). Maxine played brilliantly to take some sweet revenge over Tarryn, winning 3-1. Well done Maxine. In the men’s A final between defending champion Justin Gouweloos (1) and Frank Bradford (3), Justin was too too strong for the veteran and won 3-0. Well done Justin! It was good to see a capacity crowd in at Golf Club to watch the finals of this tournament. The prize-giving and cocktail party went off supremely well. Thanks to Golf Club for hosting the event.
